Terms of Service
In effect from 7 November 2026
1. Who we are
CopyMe (copyme.cc, the “Service”) is provided by Ebenezer Don, trading as CopyMe, based in the United Kingdom (“CopyMe”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at copyme@ebenezerdon.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.
2. The Service
CopyMe is an AI teleprompter and script writing tool that runs in the browser. It includes a script editor and library, a prompter, voice follow, remote control from any other device, and an AI writer. We may change, add or remove features at any time. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old, provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at copyme@ebenezerdon.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Free trial. New subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and the first payment is taken. We send a reminder 3 days before the trial ends. One trial per person.
- Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Prices are shown before you subscribe, include applicable taxes and may vary by country.
- Plans and limits. Each plan includes the features and monthly allowances described on the pricing page. Allowances start again on the first day of each calendar month (UTC) and unused amounts do not carry over. Where a plan says unlimited, fair use limits apply.
- How usage is measured. Allowances are counted as the pricing page describes them: for example, AI drafts and edits by request, and auto-cut and other listening features by the minutes of speech they process. When an allowance is used up, that feature pauses until the next month (or until you add a top-up where one is offered); the rest of the Service keeps working.
- Changes to allowances. We may change the features and monthly allowances of a plan. An increase can apply at any time. If we reduce an allowance of a plan you pay for, including Founding Lifetime, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and for subscriptions the reduction applies from your next billing period, so you may cancel before it does.
- Rate limits. To keep the Service available to everyone, we may apply short-term and daily limits to AI and listening features, and pause them briefly when a provider we rely on is unavailable. These limits are set well above normal personal use.
- Changing plans. You can move between plans in Settings. A move to a higher-priced plan starts immediately and you pay the prorated difference for the rest of the current period. A move to a lower-priced plan takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. During a free trial, a change applies immediately and nothing is charged.
- Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase and handles payment collection, tax and receipts. Stripe’s own terms apply to the payment.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it succeeds.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice, and you may cancel before the change takes effect.
- One-time purchases. Where offered, lifetime access, AI writer top-ups and Live session packs are one-time purchases. Lifetime access lasts for as long as we operate the Service. Top-ups and Live session packs are valid for 12 months from purchase and need an active plan to use.
- Founding Lifetime. Founding Lifetime is a launch offer, sold for a limited time and in a limited number, and may end early when it sells out. It is paid once and gives you the CopyMe plan for as long as we operate the Service: its features, its monthly allowances as set from time to time, and the CopyMe plan features we add later, with no renewal payments. It does not include CopyMe Studio, AI writer top-ups or Live session packs, which are sold separately. Founding Lifetime is personal to your account and cannot be transferred, resold or shared. The founding price is not guaranteed to be offered again.
- Existing accounts. Accounts created before paid plans were introduced receive 30 days of access from the launch date without a subscription, after which a subscription is required.
5. Refunds
Your first payment for a subscription or one-time purchase is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee, as set out in the Refund Policy. All other payments are non-refundable.
6. Your content
You own the scripts and other content you create or upload (“your content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies held for a limited time in backups.
If you turn on Cloud Sync (part of every plan except Starter), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy and transmit the videos and files you choose to sync, solely to provide Cloud Sync to you as the account owner: keeping them in our storage and sending them to the devices signed in to your account. Synced content is never made public or shown to other users, and is kept and deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when the synced content is deleted.
You are solely responsible for your content and confirm that you have all rights needed to use it and that it does not break any law or infringe anyone’s rights. We do not review content, but we may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe it breaches these terms or the law. To report content that infringes your rights, email copyme@ebenezerdon.com.
7. AI writer
The AI writer generates text from your instructions using a third-party AI provider. As between you and us, you own the text it generates for you, to the extent the law allows. Generated text may be inaccurate, incomplete, similar to text produced for others, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing, editing and fact-checking it, and for how you use it. It is not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. Use of the AI writer is subject to the allowance of your plan.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory or infringing;
- use the AI writer to create content that is illegal, harassing or intended to mislead;
- attempt to access other users’ data, or probe, disrupt or circumvent the security of the Service;
- circumvent plan limits, share an account, or resell or sublicense the Service;
- use automated means to access the Service, or copy, reverse engineer or build a competing product from it, except as the law expressly allows.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, templates and the CopyMe name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service under these terms while your account is active. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including payment, hosting, AI and your browser’s speech recognition. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
11. Disclaimer
You use the Service at your own risk. The Service, including AI writer output, is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties, representations or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including as to merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Voice follow and remote control depend on your device, browser, microphone and network and may not work in every setting. You are responsible for testing the Service before relying on it for any recording, broadcast, presentation or live event, and for keeping your own copies of your scripts.
12. Exclusion of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CopyMe, its operator and their agents and service providers are not liable to you or to any third party for any loss, damage, cost, expense or claim of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive, including loss of profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, reputation or data, or the cost of a failed or repeated recording, broadcast, presentation or event, however caused and on any theory of liability, including contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such loss.
If, despite the above, any liability is established, it is limited in total, for all claims together, to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the first claim.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless CopyMe, its operator and their agents and service providers from and against all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
- your content, including any claim that it infringes a third party’s rights;
- your use of the Service or of AI writer output, including anything you record, publish or broadcast;
- your breach of these terms or of any law; or
- anyone else’s use of your account.
We may take exclusive control of the defence of any such claim at your expense, and you will cooperate with us.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if required by law. We may discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 6, 7 and 9 to 18 survive termination.
15. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages of hosting, network or third-party providers, attacks, natural events or acts of government.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. Before bringing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Any claim must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to it, or it is permanently barred.
18. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. Every disclaimer, exclusion and limitation in these terms applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. If any provision is found unenforceable, it applies to the greatest extent that is enforceable and the rest remains in effect. Nothing in these terms is an admission of liability. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor operating the Service, without reducing your rights. No one else has any right to enforce these terms.
